Exhibition.

The exhibition "Sacred Encounters: Father De Smet and the Indians of the Rocky Mountain West" could be seen in the museums of Bozeman, Vancouver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Indianapolis and Portland.

"Father Pierre-Jean De Smet, a Jesuit priest from Dendermonde, one of the most influential Belgians ever to have lived in the United States."

Jacqueline Peterson, professor at Washington State University, started the tour on April 1993.
